Yami tribe Sword

This sword, known as Pararowai, originates from the Yami tribe of Orchid Island (also called Botel Tobago). Intricately carved with traditional Yami tribal motifs, it is one of the three distinctive types of knives used by the Yami people. A unique feature of this style is the partially split front edge of the sheath, which reveals the tip of the curved blade. The Pararowai serves both ritualistic and practical functions—it is used to ward off evil spirits and also as a meat cleaver.
