Ceremonial Paiwan tribe female Headdress

This is one type of headdress worn by Paiwan women during special occasions, such as weddings and harvest ceremonies. The richness of the embroidery and the number of boar tusks suggest that this headdress was intended for a person of noble rank within the village.
