Paiwan tribe Pipe

Very fine pipe made of precious wood from the Paiwan tribe, carved with human faces representing a Paiwan warrior and a stylised deer. The bottom is carved in a deer hoof shape. This pipe was exhibited from December 2007 to September 2008 at the Shisanhang Museum of Prehistory in Taipei County during a special exhibition dedicated to Paiwan culture. It is also featured in a photograph in the exhibition catalog. The stem is not the original one and was add later.
