Paiwan Tribe woman ancestor panel

This very old ancestral panel in Taromak style, depicts a woman, likely from an important lineage, as suggested by the serpent-shaped diadem she wears. The diadem is adorned with a diamond shape topped by two symmetrical serpents facing away from each other. The back of the panel is slightly curved. Its height suggests that this panel was the centerpiece of the house and was placed at its center, perhaps next to a male ancestor panel.
