Paiwan tribe atypical Sword

This sword originates from Jilu village (Taitung County), near the Bunun territory of Haiduan, and exhibits clear stylistic cross-influences. While the serpent-headed sheath and central bulge are typical of Paiwan design, the blade shape and nail inlays on the grip reflect characteristics of Bunun weaponry. Such a fusion of styles highlights the cultural exchanges between neighboring villages of these two indigenous groups.
