Paiwan tribe eroded Wooden cup for Wine

The double millet wine cup is an essential accessory for the Paiwan people during ceremonies, weddings, hunting rituals, births, and other important events. To toast, participants crouch side by side, each holding one handle of the cup, and drink together. This double cup is not just an ordinary vessel it symbolizes the joyful moments of tribal life and the unity of the clan. This cup, heavily eroded , is carved on its center with snakes and human faces. The handles are paint in red , some white tint remain on the center of the cup.
