Jambières féminines de la tribu Paiwan

Antique Paiwan tribe women’s leggings made of red wool with black cotton panels and vertical stripes in pink, yellow, and orange. This traditional pair features eight rows of small copper bells and black cotton straps for tying around the calves. Such square leggings were worn over skirts to expose the lower legs and were decorated only by noblewomen. A rare example of formal Paiwan ceremonial wear from Taiwan's Indigenous heritage.

Cuillère tribale Paiwan

Beautiful 19th-century spoon, carved with a standing ancestor figure at the top and a magnificent double-headed serpent on the back. The spoon is stained red. Its size is 42 cm high.

This linked cup from the Paiwan tribe features a diamond-shaped mouth and a central handle adorned with a carved human head. It is decorated with traditional black and red pigments.
